The Role
Take a giant leap.
And step into a bold new future.
Assistant Director of Social Care (Assessment & Support Planning)
£68,850 - £76,500 (plus relocation package)
Job Ref: A61J
Great changes are afoot within our Directorate. We're revolutionising the way we care for our community's most vulnerable people. As the first authority to implement the government's 'Personalisation Agenda' initiative, we're taking a huge leap into the future - embracing a strategy that's all about delivering a personal, tailored service.
This is why we need someone driven, ambitious and passionate, to help lead the way. Focused on choice, independence and empowerment, we're taking our service users on a journey like no other. From initial assessment through to the whole self-support model, you'll ensure they feel completely integrated within their communities. Responsible for their own individual budgets, while being fully supported, our adults will have the power to decide their futures.
Innovative and inspirational, you'll strive to achieve our objectives. You’ll develop quality assurance models and lead a culture of continuous improvement. Though you may not necessarily have experience within Adult Social Care, your management ability and passion to make a difference will ensure you succeed in this revolutionary role.
This will be a challenging and exciting journey. With Assessment and Support Planning at the heart of transforming people's lives, we'll need to ensure our staff and managers feel confident, supported, and enthusiastic at every step. Drawing upon your wealth of social care legislation knowledge, you'll keep our new initiative on track.
A transformation of this scale takes enormous commitment, great talent and natural problem-solving ability - all of which you'll have. After all, you won't just be pioneering our new service; you'll be creating a prototype to which every other authority in the nation will look to for inspiration.
